Under the direction of the IT Manager, the Information Technology Specialist supports IT infrastructure with a focus on departmental priorities and organizational strategic goals including clinical quality improvement; provides software and hardware support to all staff; configures and deploys desktop equipment and software; assists in network administration tasks including system upgrades; develops training materials and schedules and provides training and orientation sessions for software and IT equipment. The IT specialist also assists the IT Manager with the departments logistical concerns.
- Assists users in identifying and resolving hardware and software problems
- Provides support to organization as primary helpdesk contact
- Installs hardware such as printers and workstations
- Provides basic windows and EMR training and orientation for new and existing staff
- Maintains inventory of computer hardware, including serial numbers, IP addresses, warranty information
- Manages printer and computer hardware repairs
- Assists the IT Manager with the departments logistical concerns
- Works in cooperation with management and HR to configure IT equipment, including phones, for new hires, staff moves, and staff job reassignments
- Supports users in operation of cloud based Ring Central application including training, troubleshooting and installation headsets .
- Develops training materials and schedules and provides training and orientation sessions for software and IT equipment
- Follows system change procedures to implement system enhancements, upgrades, and/or new processes
- Assists IT Manager and Network Engineers in assuring viability of electronic health record and other information through implementation of regular upgrades and system maintenance and backup
- Maintains flexibility to participate in special projects as assigned
