Requirements:
Master's degree from a program in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology.
Minimum of 1 years' experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavioral support plans and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans.
Must meet OPWDD BIS's Qualifications.
Excellent communication, teaching and modeling skills.
Excellent verbal and written abilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct annual and semi-annual IDT reviews of individuals to report on their behavioral needs and progress.
2. Develop and implement behavior support plans and intervention strategies for individuals and in accordance with OPWDD regulations and in accordance with the agency's vision of positive behavioral supports and teaching alternative appropriate behaviors, which foster maximal behavioral independence.
3. Train and monitor Direct Support Professionals in consistently implementing these behavior support plans and intervention strategies.
4. Prepare and conduct trainings/in-services for individual and facility related issues, behavior interventions, etc.
5. Conduct regular observations of activities in the residence and provide written report to Residence Manager.
6. Provide written reports to treating psychiatrists regarding behavioral progress.
