The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director to ensure smooth operation for all programs and projects related to the Respite Department. In addition, the program assistant will also assist in the intake process for both Respite & Day services.

Supports Director in day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth programming and operation.

Answer and direct phone calls

Assists with monitoring and maintaining records in compliance with OPWDD, Waiver and OMIG regulations & guidelines.

Monitor individual unit utilization and request increases as needed

Assists with the intake process which consists of sending out applications, collecting appropriate documentation, and maintaining waitlists

Assists with clerical tasks as assigned, including copying, scanning, faxing, filing, typing correspondence, and mailings.

Maintain accurate staff information, both hard copy and electronic files

Maintain accurate individual information, both hard copy and electronic files

Creates calendars and flyers for all programs.

Assists with updating program documents.

Assist and prepare all annual training materials.
