Description

The Alumni Engagement Manager reports directly to the Deputy Executive Director & Chief Program Officer and collaborates closely with the American Dream Program team at HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services (HSVS). This role is instrumental in the development and growth of the Alumni Network, focusing on engaging and cultivating relationships with alumni of the American Dream Program.

 Key responsibilities include fostering relationships with key stakeholders, overseeing the operations of the Alumni Network, and understanding the history and mission of HSVS in relation to the alumni being recruited.

  • Act as stakeholder in developing the Alumni Network of the American Dream Program (ADP) of HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services (HSVS).
  • Design and implement a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy that fosters ongoing relationships with former program participants.
  • Identify software to create and manage an alumni database to track engagement, participation, and outcomes.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the organization's stakeholders—past, present, and potential—as well as its history, particularly as it relates to the experiences and interests of alumni being engaged for the Alumni Network.
  • Manage the Board of the Alumni Network of the American Dream Program (ADP).
  • Cultivate relations with alumni and recruit for the Alumni Network.
  • Manage the daily operations of the Alumni Network including the budget, donor relations, grant writing, curriculum writing, and check-ins with alumni.
  • Lead the creation of the different initiatives, projects, investments, and goals of the Alumni Board and coordinate with Alumni Ambassadors and HSVS Youth Development Team to engage current scholars. 
  • Build the alumni community and support the communications team with outreach related to the Alumni Association through various media and digital platforms such as texts, social media, emails, etc.
  • Collaborate and share relevant information from the Alumni network.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to implement programs and systems to maintain and promote alumni interest and support.
  • Plan and execute events and networking opportunities to connect alumni with each other and agency resources.
  • Establish goals and objectives for the ADP alumni board.
  • Recommend strategies for strengthening alumni participation and support.
  • Create surveys for ADP alumni to help with the implementation, management, recruitment, and coordination of ADP alumni.
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling meetings and recording minutes for meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:  Bachelor's degree from four-year college or equivalent

 

Experience: 3 plus years of experience in alumni relations, program development, community outreach, or a related role. Experience working with foster care populations or in a child welfare setting is highly preferred.
