Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing and licensed to work in NYC. Bilingual/Spanish and experience with medically fragile populations preferred.
- Competency level indicating the ability to absorb and integrate information and concepts and ability to quickly learn and undertake full job responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to act responsibly in stressful situations in order to undertake the emotionally difficult aspects of SPS work.
- Skill in written and verbal communications sufficient to effectively provide direction and counseling to clients and families and maintain ail required documentation.
- Ability to commit to working outside of regular office hours to fulfill responsibilities.
- Awareness of the necessity of field work throughout the greater New York area, often by public transportation, and ability to accommodate.
Additional Abilities and Characteristics:
- Evidence of stability in prior work or educational history, indicating an ability to form long term working relationship with client groups.
- Ability to independently organize time and prioritize responsibilities in order to plan and carry out a demanding schedule of tasks, as well as to follow supervisory direction.
- Cross cultural studies or experience which benefit understanding of a diverse client population.
- Valid New York State driver's license preferred.
