Behavior Intervention Specialist

The ideal candidate for the BIS position will work in our Article 16 Clinic/satellite clinics. The selected candidate will be responsible for Psychotherapy/Counseling services. Candidate must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and must possess excellent verbal and written skills.

Conduct weekly Individual Psychotherapy with adults with intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities.

Develop a Treatment Plan with specific goals and objectives.

Use of an electronic health record system (Precision Care) to write progress notes and create treatment plans following agency policies and OPWDD rules and regulations.

Meets regularly with the supervising Licensed Clinical Psychologist to discuss Psychotherapy cases and treatment plans.

Perform other job-related responsibilities as requested by Clinic Director

Possess excellent communication skills.

Possess excellent written and organizational skills.

Requirements:

Master's degree from a program in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology.

Minimum of 1 year experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development and implementation of treatment plans.

Must meet OPWDD requirements 

Has experience in administering in Testing and Scoring and Adaptive Measures of traditional testing.

Preferably a candidate familiar with OPWDD policies and procedures

Possess excellent communication skills.

Possess excellent written and organizational skills.
