SUMMARY

This position reports jointly to the Atelier Director of Brand Marketing and property Director of Sales and Marketing. This position liaises and works collaboratively with the Brand Marketing and PR teams at Atelier Ace, working as an extension of the brand. This position is focused on multi-channel marketing initiatives, partnerships, programming and community engagement. 

A successful Marketing & Community Manager is both guest and community focused, revenue-minded, proactive and self-driven. They successfully operate with a high degree of autonomy, collaborate well, and have proven experience creating, launching and driving brand awareness initiatives to conversion. They are skilled at working both strategically (setting big picture goals, building relationships, using guest insights, data and market trends to present strong ideas for growth) and tactically (optimizing campaigns, analyzing traffic, producing events and problem solving). 

 

CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Proactively create and manage quarterly property marketing plans and goals, integrated strategy, and calendars with a focus on expanding brand awareness and audience reach, driving community engagement and increasing room and food & beverage revenue 
  2. Create and execute a strong content marketing strategy, including an editorial calendar spanning property websites, social channels and email communications
  3. Curate an event marketing strategy mapped to quarterly goals, combining local programming and strategic brand partnerships focused on engagement, to increase brand awareness and affinity within target audiences 
  4. Cultivate relationships with potential partners that will have cultural value, create visibility in the market and acquire new audiences
  5. Negotiate agreements with partners, including barter agreements, effectively finding value and creating mutually beneficial results 
  6. Work closely with external F&B teams (Koloman team) to share lobby music programming plans and strategy 
  7. Leverage data (ie from social media) to optimize touch points throughout the customer journey, supporting guest acquisition and loyalty 
  8. Manage property briefs for the creation of both digital and physical marketing assets and collateral, work with the Atelier Creative team to ensure messaging is clear, effective and reflective of brand values 
  9. Lead on-site production for large event activations, effectively communicate support needed and work with the events team to produce recurring programming and music 
  10. Manage allotted marketing and promo budget, in collaboration with the Atelier Brand team and property DOSM
  11. Communicate quarterly marketing initiatives and programming calendar to Atelier Press team and agency partners in a timely manner for media support 
  12. Work with the Atelier Press team to field media requests, on-property media tours and photo shoots 
  13. Create and maintain a roster of people of influence, brand ambassadors and content creators, identify hosting opportunities based on quarterly goals, manage stays & deliverables
  14. Own monthly reporting and quarterly marketing plans, including key campaigns and KPIs to leadership and broader organization 
  15. Manage necessary website updates to ensure accuracy of information and create event pages for all programming initiatives

  8. Knowledge and understanding of Atelier & Ace Culture & initiatives

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. Passion and understanding for the Ace Hotel brand and the local community 
  2. 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally with partnership, community, event programming and production experience
  3. An deep understanding of Greek culture and subcultures, including music, art, food and beverage, and current and fervent themes in Athens
  4. Experience with social media management and content development, including copywriting
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  6. Strong project manager and cross-functional collaborator. Able to motivate teams, multitask and prioritize against competing deadlines, evaluate tradeoffs, flag concerns, and ensure goals are met 
  7. Optimistic, proactive, self-driven and results-oriented 
  8. Ability to report on and synthesize qualitative and quantitative results, in order to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of campaigns and partnerships
  9. Speaks, reads, and writes fluently in the Greek language 

 

LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL, and REASONING ABILITIES

Candidate must meet the following cognitive abilities:

  1. Ability to understand guests’ service needs & requests.
  2. Ability to acknowledge guests’ requests in a polite manner.
  3. Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written English (additional foreign languages are encouraged and preferred).
  4. Ability to apply logical thinking and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
  5. Ability to address and solve problems involving guest and operational issues.
  6. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
