Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

Live MCP’s mission, vision, and culture of growing the sport of skiing and giving people the freedom to ski

Work with MCP Leaders to execute the long term vision for the growth and expansion of the resort

Management and execution of Capital Improvement Projects

Oversight and leadership of Mountain Operations departments: Lift Operations, Lift Maintenance, Grooming, Snowmaking, Ski Patrol and Vehicle Maintenance

Assemble a mountain operations team at Sandia Peak that can support the vision and strategic plan for the resort

Mentor and develop the team enabling them to take on more responsibility and move up to new roles.

Effectively supervise all areas of the team including coaching, counseling and disciplinary action as necessary.

Partner with senior resort leaders to set yearly goals for departments that align with overall resort goals, and develop KPIs to measure success in achieving those goals

Develop budgets and set operating plans that align with departmental and resort goals

Be knowledgeable in all areas of resort operations, and provide hands-on expertise.

Monitor employee and team performance ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed, all company equipment is being operated in a safe and responsible manner.

Oversee the development of policies and procedures that reduce liability and create efficiencies

Ensures OSHA and ANSI-B77 standards are in compliance
Other Responsibilities:

Oversee timely and accurate reporting of all local, state and federal regulatory compliance requirements

Performing day-to-day administrative tasks as needed
