ABOUT THE ROLE
Fast Company’s digital team is looking for a senior editor to shape and lead the website’s contributor and creator networks, with the goal of strengthening and nurturing key audiences. Working with editors, freelance contributors, and syndication partners, this editor will assign, edit and package contributions across our sections–Work Life, Tech, Design, News, and Impact—all with a focus on business innovation. The editor also will manage syndicated content and seek new partnerships, and manage the editorial side of SEO-driven projects.
The ideal candidate is a careful, creative journalist fascinated by the ever-changing digital landscape, from understanding which channels present opportunities for creative approaches to growth to connecting the dots between verticals to produce a more cohesive and engaging experience for readers. They have experience building out new strategic content partnerships and networks, and a knack for growing and managing relationships between contributors and a publication. The senior editor of contributors will also be adept at using data to inform creative decisions.
This is a 3-day hybrid role (Tuesday-Thursday onsite), but applicants outside the NYC metropolitan area will be considered for a fully remote position if they are the right fit.
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America East Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Salary range: $88,500- $120,400 + bonus eligible. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, industry, and education.
