The Graphic Designer works with the Design Team to connect ministry goals with graphic and other creative designs. The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating graphics for a variety of platforms and consistently and prayerfully seeking new ways to connect our message of faith with our congregation, city, and world.
Reports to: Lead Designer
Works with: Communication Team and Ministry Staff
Works: Part time, hourly, approximately 15-20 hours per week
DESIGN — 90%
- Conceptualize, design, and produce a wide range of specialized graphics for The Grove’s ministries, projects, and initiatives.
- Manipulate and edit existing design files.
- Produce high-quality graphics while maintaining brand consistency and quality.
- Responsibilities could include branding message series and events, collaborating with ministry leads, and creating promotional materials for a variety of platforms, including print, signage, social media, and web.
- Work with the Design Team, Communication Team, and Ministry Staff to ensure all collateral is correct and completed in a timely manner.
OTHER — 10%
- Attend bi-weekly meetings with the Lead Designer.
- Attend weekly Communication Team meetings.
- Attend church all-staff meetings, devotions, and trainings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Design theory — type, color, composition, space, layout, etc.
