The Junior High Ministry Worship Coordinator plays a vital role in our Junior High Ministry, the Refuge. This Worship Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating worship on a weekly basis, as well as raising up other individuals to lead and mature in their own worship abilities.
Reports to: Junior High Ministry Pastor
Works with: Ministry staff, volunteer leaders, parents, and students
Works: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, exempt
WORSHIP EXECUTION & COORDINATION - 50%
- Plan and coordinate weekend and midweek worship sets.
- Consistently lead worship on weekend and midweek services.
- Maintain communication with volunteers to ensure overall health and effectiveness.
- Be proficient with the technical set-up of worship (using soundboard and ProPresenter, connecting cables, checking speakers, etc.).
WORSHIP DEVELOPMENT - 20%
- Creatively consider ways to improve worship culture in Junior High.
- Develop a worship team in which individuals are being invested in and growing in their own worship abilities.
- Be able to coach and lead other worship volunteers in places they need to grow musically and spiritually.
- Train and develop students in their own worship abilities, including the ability to lead worship.
MINISTRY SUPPORT - 10%
- Attend weekly ministry meetings and be a valuable contributor to the holistic success of the Junior High ministry.
- Assist in leading and facilitating weekend services – including hosting announcements, games, and other service responsibilities.
OTHER - 10%
- Prayerfully seek wisdom for the worship ministry in Junior High.
- Cultivate intimacy with God and growth in Christ-like character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.
- Attend church all-staff meetings, devotions, and trainings, and serve at other church events.
