Position Summary/ Objective:

Under the direction of the Director of Revenue Management, the Revenue Analyst will be responsible for maximizing room revenue, profit, and market share for multiple resort properties by analyzing revenue data and daily management of pricing strategies. Associate will work independently or in a team under little to no supervision. This position relies on good judgment to perform the functions of the job.

Primary Essential Functions:    

  • All associates are obligated to support and uphold the values, expectations, policies, and procedures of Grand Pacific Resorts as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Partner with Revenue Manager, property GMs, Marketing and other revenue generating department heads to implement proactive revenue generating strategies.
  • Support yield efforts via analysis and reporting to ensure that all segments and distribution channels are mined for revenue opportunities based on budget, forecast, pace and market demand for each property.
  • Work with Revenue Manager to ensure all strategies are aligned through Annual Budget/Business Plan. 
  • Manage and assist with data entry operations of internal and external distribution channels including OTAs, wholesalers, and negotiated segments.
  • Ensure proactive and accurate maintenance and management of all systems (PMS, channel manager, payment processor, etc.)
  • Execute reporting functions of competitive set, price positioning, seasonality and mix. 
  • Implement programs to drive growth for direct booking initiatives.
  • Use all yield management tools available to maximize efforts.
  • Manage property participation and production through relevant internet sites and other distribution channels.
  • Build/maintain relationships w/OTA Market Managers and ensure best representation on 3rd party web sites. 
  • Ensure ongoing reservation sales training is being conducted with property Front Office and Call Center staff. 
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested. 
  • Travel required occasionally. 
  • Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Adhere to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.

Qualifications

Education, Skills & Experience: 

The ideal candidate must be a detail oriented, thorough, and professional individual who consistently provides exemplary customer service to guests, owners, management and associates.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of hotel experience required (time share preferred).
  • Must be extremely confidential and able to manage sensitive and confidential situations tactfully. 
  • Intermediate level Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze data
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and have the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent reading and effective writing abilities for completing paperwork and management reports, giving and receiving instructions, review and preparation of all documentation and training 
  • Excellent mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, economics basics and variances 
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team environment. 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications Required:

  • Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to successfully pass applicable auditions or skill testing, background check, physical examination and drug screening test.
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language.

Physical, Environmental & Other Requirements: 

  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours. 
  • Must also be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. 
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Clear vision (close, distant and depth perception) is needed for navigating office and all other buildings within the resort.
  • Travel – 10-20% travel to resort properties may be required.
