Responsibilities:
Adhere to the mission and philosophy of American Academy with enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity.
Uphold and model American Academy’s Manners and Character Program.
Assist with instruction and interventions supporting student expectations and learning.
Maintains and monitors the daily activities of students in classes and provides a variety of assistance when needed.
Collaborates and consults with Student Support Services team members in planning daily activities in accordance with RTI, 504, and IEP’s.
Coordinates and assists with scheduling meetings involving parents, teachers, and administrators.
Provides clerical support in a variety of functions.
Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, students, administration and parents.
Follow applicable school, district, state, and federal policies, procedures, and laws, including American Academy’s core values/mission and behavior expectations.
Demonstrate high standards of professional behavior and responsible citizenship including trust, fairness, ethical decision making, respect, and critical thinking.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent
Minimum job-related experience; Experience in an educational environment preferred
Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
Computer skills word processing
