JOB DESCRIPTION

Deposit Operations Associate II

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs and understands a variety of duties related to the processing and maintenance of the bank’s deposit portfolios with emphasis on electronic services.  This position will assist users, both internal and external, with our products, customers and accounts within the deposit management systems.  This individual will own a subset of the duties outlined below with focus on electronic services function. Many of the bank products are managed and processed through Jack Henry solutions.  Duties performed within the Deposit Operations area may include but are not limited to duties outlined below.  This individual will own and be the subject matter expert for a subset of these duties.

  1. Document Image Indexing
  2. Dormant and closed accounts
  3. Confirmations
  4. Transaction Monitoring (Yellow Hammer)
  5. Overdrafts / Unposted / Chargebacks
  6. Review and Process Stop Payments / Holds
  7. Notice Processing
  8. Minor Account Monitoring
  9. IOLTA Processing
  10. Phone Support
  11. Deposit Account and Customer Maintenance
  12. Safe Deposit Box Payments/Maintenance
  13. Debit Card Processing and Support
  14. Internet Banking and Bill Pay Support
  15. Zelle and Real Time Payment Support
  16. Remote Deposit Support
  17. Fraud Management
  18. Report Requests
  19. Garnishments/levies/Subpoenas
  20. Disputes (Debit Card, ACH, and Checks)
  21. Wire Processing
  22. ACH File Processing
  23. Rate Changes
  24. Escheat Processing
  25. Monthly Board Reports
  26. Harland Clarke Billing
  27. Christmas Club Annual Processing

 

Other Expectations:

  1. Gain Knowledge of all deposit and treasury products offered by the bank
  2. Gain knowledge and adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  3. Identify efficiencies through processes and procedures
  4. Performs any other duties assigned by departmental management.  

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: High School or equivalent

Skills:  Good computer skills; ability to exercise good judgment in decision making; thorough knowledge of data processing functions and procedures

Experience: Computer data processing, two years banking experience preferably in deposit operations.

Software: Jack Henry applications and product knowledge a plus Microsoft applications including excel and word

 

ACCURACY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

Measured by timely and accurate processing of work and smooth operation of Data Processing functions.
