Description

Job Purpose:
To perform various administrative tasks and provide excellent customer service within the mailroom. This role involves operating mailing, copying, and fax equipment, handling time-sensitive and confidential materials, and ensuring prompt delivery and accuracy in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Mail and Package Handling:
    • Operate mailing, copying, and fax equipment efficiently.
    • Pick up and deliver mail, parcels, copy jobs, and faxes to customers.
    • Package and process outgoing overnight items (e.g., Federal Express, UPS).
  2. Administrative Support:
    • Perform typing, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, and sending/receiving faxes.
    • Sort mail and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
    • Handle time-sensitive material, such as confidential and urgent packages.
  3. Customer Service:
    • Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and provide assistance with mailroom-related tasks.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt and accurate service delivery.
  4. Operational Efficiency:
    • Lift large bundles of mail, overnight packages, and shipments of paper as required.
    • Focus on tasks with great detail, even while multi-tasking.
    • Ensure dependability by arriving on time and maintaining excellent attendance.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and professional attitude.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull objects, sit for long periods, perform data entry, and walk/stand throughout the office based on assigned duties.
