Elmbrook Church is a non-denominational, multi-site church located in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Elmbrook's vision is to help people become Rooted in Jesus Christ, and Released to His mission.

Elmbrook Church is blessed with a faithful team of skilled musicians, vocalists, technical producers, engineers, and videographers, both staff and volunteers. There are several teams leading worship in a given weekend, generally one for each campus.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Vocally leading worship
  • Playing acoustic/electric guitar
  • Backing vocals
  • Attending service rehearsals
  • Attending weekly team meetings
  • Coordinating services
    • Scheduling Volunteers via PCO
    • Creating Chord Charts
    • Uploading MP3
    • Coordinating with Tech team
  • Leading team devotionals
  • Organizing tracks for services via Playback software
  • Pastoring volunteers
  • Scheduling team events/trainings
  • Leading worship for:
  • Student Ministry Middle School
  • Sunday Services – Work a MINIMUM of three Sundays a month at the Brookfield Campus
  • Special Events
  • Weddings/Funerals
  • Other events as assigned

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Active participant or member of Elmbrook church who supports and endorses the statement of faith, core values and vision
  • Possess two years of worship leading experience and ministerial or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Possess strong vocals with the ability to hear and sing harmony
  • Ability to invest in other potential worship leaders
  • Proficient or growing in music competency (lead from an instrument, basic music theory and language)
  • Ability to develop and lead teams of people towards common purposes and goals
  • Model servant leadership by attitude and practice
  • Desire to build healthy, positive and life-giving relationships with other staff
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, ability to communicate effectively with volunteers, church leaders and other corresponding ministries at Elmbrook Church.

 

Employment Information

This position is part-time, hourly and classified as non-exempt.

25 hours/week

Salary – dependent on experience, skills & education

 

Benefits Package

Paid Time Off (PTO) – Part-time employees who are scheduled to work more than 10 hours per week are eligible to earn PTO.  PTO is accrued on a calendar year basis.  Refer to the Staff Handbook for specific details. 

 

403b – Employees are eligible to participate in the 403b pension plan if they are scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week.  Entry dates for the 403b plan are the first of the month following the date of hire.  On an employee’s first anniversary, Elmbrook will match up to 3%.

 

Holidays – Part-time employees scheduled to work more than 10 hours per week are eligible for holiday pay if the holiday falls on their normal scheduled workday.  Refer to the Staff Handbook for specific details.

 

Reporting Structure

The Worship Specialist will be accountable and report directly to the Worship Arts Director of Elmbrook Church.
