Job Summary

As the Vice President, Sales you will play a key role in driving Onward Robotics’ revenue growth and expanding our client base in the North American market. You will be laser focused on developing a high performing team that generates pipeline, closes deals, and accelerates revenue growth.

 

As a motivated leader with a proven track record with managing and scaling teams selling automation or technology products you are a doer at heart, while also possessing the EQ and process improvement skills necessary to manage a team to success.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share for Onward Robotics solutions.
  • Identify and develop new business generation processes to acquire new logos across various industries through proactive outbound methods.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of success, accountability, and goal achievement.
  • Lead and coach the team in all stages of the sales cycle to ensure a high conversion rate and consistent achievement of revenue targets.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless lead-to-revenue processes and alignment on go-to-market initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Develop detailed sales forecasts and budgets. Ensure accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting through effective CRM management.
  • Continuously assess and improve sales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Enterprise Account Executives & Business Development Reps

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Deep understanding of distribution and fulfillment operations and related industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Proficiency in negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to close deals effectively.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can pivot quickly to new strategies as needed.

 

 

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in customer-facing sales or consulting roles.
  • 8+ years of experience successfully leading sales teams.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and other sales tools to track sales activities, manage leads, and measure performance metrics.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.

 

 

Preferred Experience Requirements:

  • 15 years or more of experience in selling technology solutions, preferably autonomous mobile robots, or related automation products.
  • 10 years of experience successfully managing a sales team in the industrial automation industry.

 

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • BS degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or related field.

 

Preferred Education Requirements:

  • Master’s in Business Administration is a plus
