Position Summary: As a DBA, you will work with engineering and operations to support, maintain and improve our data integrity for our internal and external reporting solutions.
You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day data and system maintenance and ensuring that all reporting systems are stable and providing the correct information. Candidates should have clear ability to trouble shoot issues as well as demonstrate effective communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the development of a data ecosystem in collaboration with a team of software developers and IT business partners
- Perform testing and analysis of the system to provide options for improvement and developing next generation reporting.
- Participate in Agile development including, backlog grooming, stand ups, retrospectives, and sprint review in coordination with the development team to ensure a robust, quality user experience
- Manage ETLs that ingest vast amounts of data
- Maintain data integrity, table / view structures and queries
- Participate and learn the latest technologies and best practices in Data Engineering and be able to identify software solutions that can solve pain points in data management
- Apply value-driven designs to the development of ecosystem
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to make data, including raw and cleansed data, available for reporting as required

Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, computer science or related field is a plus, with a minimum of 5-7 years of directly related work experience in one of these fields (additional work experience may be used to in place of degree)
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Solid communication skills for documenting complex processes and oral communication skills in communicating with technical and non-technical employees
- Strong diagnostic and data forensic skills in dealing with complex data situations.
- Excellent understanding of MS SQL programming SSRS/SSIS/SP/cursors/triggers, entity relationships, stored procedures, SSIS, SSRS, ETL, performance / query optimization, domain driven design, modeling patterns,
- Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQL
- Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
- Research required data Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
- An ongoing thirst for knowledge and ideas, and a passion for creating an amazing customer experience
- Provide and receive mentoring and training with other team members
- Creative problem-solving, proficient troubleshooting and profiling
- Promote education and knowledge transfer for design patterns, technical best practices, and relevant technologies and tools

Hours Required: 40 hours a week, occasional evenings and weekends may be required
