Outside Service Attendant

Summary: Manage the golf cart fleet. Ensure each cart is ready for daily use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons, members, guests and staff.
• Be familiar with standard scripts, including greetings, procedures/protocols and responses.
• Bring up golf carts to designated areas.
• Load and unload golf bags.
• Maintain the cart staging areas as follows:
  • Ensure carts are staged and ready for use.
  • Make sure the carts are fueled/powered for the round.
  • Clean carts before use and wash after use.
  • Place proper supplies in each cart (scorecards and pencils).
  • Fill seed bottles.
  • Establish a cart rotation for usage.
• Perform weekly maintenance check list on golf carts.
• Be knowledgeable to answer questions regarding course detail, such as length, slope/rating etc.
• Tend to any questions, needs or concerns of patrons.
• Ensure patrons begin at their designated tee time by working with the Starter.
• Communicate with Golf Shop patrons as they arrive.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the cart barn, clubhouse and patio.
• Assis in League preparation and special events.
• Maintain good personal appearance and hygiene.
• Perform other Park District related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibility.

Education and/or Experience: Customer service experience preferred. Must have a positive attitude and a customer service-oriented demeanor. Multi-tasking is essential.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Internet software and PC computers. Ability to learn the POS System and basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite is a plus.
