POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Part-Time Student Services Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer services in Student Services at an assigned location for the Conservatory. Duties include greeting customers, answering phones, taking class registrations, processing cash and credit card purchases, assisting with facility needs, and representing the Conservatory to visitors. The Part-Time Student Services Associate reports to the Chief Operations Officer. Skills required include strong communication skills, exceptional customer service skills, knowledge of business and education practices, and knowledge of music education. This individual must show exceptional maturity and leadership and an ability to effectively communicate and follow the mission of the Conservatory and the policies of the President and Board of Directors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

Answer phones and personally greet customers at the Conservatory to create an inviting and professional atmosphere.

Work with faculty and education staff to place students in classes, ensembles, and private lessons successfully.

Follow Conservatory policies for handling monetary transactions and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions.

Work with the registration program (ActiveNet or other) in conjunction with the Conservatory's other locations to provide accurate information.

Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all Conservatory offerings, including classes, lessons, ensembles, concerts, and donor events.

Maintain the cleanliness and order of the facility as needed.

Ensure the highest level of customer service in all areas of customer relations.

Maintain consistency in Student Services and customer service policies.

Support all education programs, classes, and special events as requested.

Work independently on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks and reports.

This position works a varied schedule of daytime, evenings, and weekends.
