Manages and schedules the library’s age-specific programming and outreach services including developing, planning, promoting, coordinating, and directing a variety of programs and events that serve diverse populations. Performs duties requiring considerable judgment and initiative in planning and overseeing both on-site and community-based programming and outreach services for age-specific groups.
This position will interact with and assist guests of all ages but may be assigned to develop programming specifically for a specific age group.
This position will be assigned to the Outreach and Engagement Services department, which is located at the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library at 300 Park Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73102. The Ronald J. Norick Library is named after former Mayor Ron Norick. Norick was a visionary and the champion of the "MAPS" project which voters passed to provide funding for nine new building projects in the downtown area. The hiring salary for this position is $51,001.60 annually. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. This position is exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The current need for this position requires that the candidate be available to work Monday to Friday during library hours. There may be occasions when the candidate has to work outside regular hours. The candidate should be available to work all hours the library is open, including some weekends and evenings.*
