IT Technician

Under general supervision, provides high-level technical support for library computers, installs new and replacement hardware, diagnoses operational problems, repairs, and services equipment, builds data communications cables, participates in major communication and mainframe upgrades, maintains equipment inventory, and orders supplies and parts.

This position is assigned to the IT Department located at the Downtown Library, 300 Park Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field; and
• Two years of experience in an IT support role; or
• Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid State Driver's License
• Current motor vehicle insurance.
• Acceptable Driving Record as defined in the Driver Safety Procedures

This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week.  The hiring salary for this position is $24.52 hourly.  This position is not exempt from the fair Federal Labor Standards Act. This is a safety-sensitive position.

The shift is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with the possibility of a Saturday shift as well.  There could also be a need for the candidate to flex their hours to complete tasks before the libraries open.*
