Engagement Specialist II

Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the library’s strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library.

This position will be assigned to the Almonte Library 2727 SW 59th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73119.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
• One year of customer service experience

HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse patronage.
• Experience building community partnerships.
• High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Teen programming experience. 

The hiring salary for this position is $21.57 hourly.  This is a half-time position working 20 hours per week.  This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.  Candidates should have availability to work all hours the library is open, including evenings and weekends.  At this time, specific need requires availability to work Monday 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Tuesday 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Friday 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Rotating Saturdays and Sundays*
