Engagement Specialist II CL- HT

Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the Library’s strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library.

This position will be assigned to the Choctaw Library, which is located at 2525 Muzzy Street, Choctaw, OK.  However, candidates should have availability to work at all Community Library locations (Jones, Luther, Choctaw, Nicoma Park and Harrah) if needed. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
• One year of customer service experience

HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
• Experience building sustainable community partnerships.
• High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The hiring salary for this position is $21.57 hourly.  This is a half-time position working 20 hours per week.  This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.  Candidates should have availability to work all hours the library is open, including evenings and weekends.  At this time, specific need requires availability to work one of two shifts - Monday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, Tuesday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm, Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm or Monday from 2:00  to 6:00 pm, Thursday from 8:00 to 12:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 to 12:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm.*
