Coastal Hospice invites you to support a team of caregivers who are committed to promoting dignity and quality of life for patients and families who face life-limiting conditions.  In your role as IT Support Systems Specialist, you will:

  • Participate in new staff orientation, provides basic level training and further education as needed.
  • Develop end-user documentation, especially on new products and services.
  • Prepare project status reports and distributes to appropriate department managers.
  • Ensure that backup, recovery and security procedures are set up, performed, and verified as planned and necessary; monitors network.
  • Analyze needs and prepares workflow documentation with focus on clinical, finance, and administration. Adheres to best practices and HIPAA compliance.
  • Assist in the analysis of agency’s technological needs and goals and the design and implementation of appropriate hardware and software. Provides cost/benefit analysis. Gives feedback to department managers. Participates in IT-based task forces.
  • Ensure applications are being effectively deployed and utilized by staff.
  • Serve as a resource to management and staff on business processes and system/application use, support, and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of clinical, financial, and administrative work processes and procedures, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Participate in budget planning and project management to accomplish agency goals.
  • Assist in obtaining cost estimates and proposals for budgeting and contracting purposes.
  • Serve as help desk support for staff, shares on-call responsibility for maintaining active systems, and sets up Audio/Visual equipment for meetings and provides assistance to users.
  • Maintain master inventory system and sign-out for equipment including laptops, iPads, air cards, printers, mobile devices, projectors, and other capital items.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and investigates options.
  • Perform application upgrades/maintenance, data integrity process, and database cleanup.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management of Information, Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Three (3) years’ experience working in Information Technology with Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ Certification preferred.

      Preferred skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 and Windows 10/11.
  • iPad and iOS knowledge and setup/configuration experience.
  • Active Directory and Power Shell scripting experience.
  • Microsoft Server 2019/2022 support.
  • Microsoft Azure, Entra, Teams, and SharePoint experience.
  • Microsoft Terminal Server setup and management experience.
  • Microsoft Exchange on-site or cloud based support experience.
  • CrowdStrike End-Point protection experience.
  • Barracuda Email Security support experience.
  • IBM MaaS360 MDM device configuration and application distribution experience.
  • Experience with Zoom meetings and large participant events.
  • Support experience with phone and voice mail systems
