Farm Worker (Seasonal)

Position Scope/Summary
The farm needs a worker level 1 for a pecan tree operation, with 3268 ac of pecan trees.  With approximately 40 field employees. To help maintain the farm clean of weeds and death wood.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Employees are expected to support the quality concepts inherent in the business philosophies of Stahmanns Inc, including a variety of job related tasks, which include the following.
•    No experience necessary
•    Pick up wood from fields
•    Clean weed around trees with weed eater
•    Plant seedlings by hand
•    Must be able to work 40 hrs
•    Responsible
•    Punctual
•    Good driving record
•    Must pass a drug test

Skills and Knowledge:
           
-    Good communication skills
-    Practical skills
-    A willingness to work flexibly
-    Must be able to lift more than 10 lbs

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements (Physical and Mental Demands):
•    No experience necessary but a little knowledge of farm work, will be helpful

Reporting Relationship:
This position reports directly to the Farm Operations Manager at Stahmanns Inc, La Mesa, NM
