JOB DESCRIPTION:

Martin Fluid Power/MFPseals will provide the highest quality machined parts in the industry. Our finished parts represent the Company to our Customers. We are looking for CNC lathe operators who take pride in their work, employees who with previous experience and/or training will become competent in their jobs and help create world class sealing devices.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write programs and modify existing programs for efficiency
  • Translate instructions into CAM program
  • Determine sequence of operations in a program
  • Determine proper cutting tools required
  • Assure the safe and efficient operation of the CNC lathe
  • Start up and run machine that has been approved for production
  • Maintain quality and efficient rate of production
  • Record inspection results of parts to assure conformance to print
  • Inform leader of any defects found in the parts
  • Follow guidelines and instructions to perform job functions
  • Maintain correct part counts and paperwork
  • Pack parts for next operation, inventory or shipping
  • Follow pre-established guidelines to preform job functions
  • Good attendance and timely arrival for work is mandatory

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent CNC programming skills
  • Excellent Problem solving skills
  • Ability to read 3D Cad prints
  • Read, speak, write and understand English
  • Math skills, especially algebra, trigonometry and physics
  • Mechanically Inclined
  • Use of measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
  • Understand and able to change “G” and “M” codes
  • Change inserts and make tooling off sets
  • Touch off tooling
  • Good attendance and timely arrival for work is required
  • Reliable transportation
