REQUIREMENTS: Current registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Education/Certification: BS in nutrition, food service, health or related degree; completion of American Dietetic Association (ADA) examination for registered dietitian (RD) or Certified Diabetes Educator.
Experience: Must be familiar with computerized information systems, and office equipment such as fax, copier, and scanning devices. Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Language/Communication: Must have the sensitivity, maturity, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of the organization. Must be patient, courteous, compassionate, and respectful with patients and their families, co-workers, physicians and administrative staff. Ability to communicate medical terminology and relate well with physicians, staff and management.
Mental Capabilities: Requires assessment and planning, calculation, analyzing, sorting, comparing, ability to prioritize, listening, decision making, and reading comprehension.
Performance: Job tasks should be completed in a timely manner, and all deadlines met appropriately. Anticipates / prepares for forthcoming problems and projects. Failure to ensure this could have adverse consequences on the operations of the Preventative / Population Health Department.
