Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Clinical Research Recruiter to join our team!

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Perform recruitment activities for clinical trials and reporting recruitment status. Responsible for identifying, screening, and documenting participants for clinical trials. Responsible for updating and maintaining the recruitment database, phone screening potential research subjections, and arranging appointments for potential research subjects. Recruiters will travel to other clinics, medical offices, and community partners to build and cultivate referral partnerships with medical providers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Utilize tools, processes, and training to develop effective strategies and tactics of subject recruitment and retention.
  2. Screen and inform potential candidates about clinical trial participation according to each studies’ inclusion/exclusion criteria.
  3. Schedule initial screening appointments for qualified research study subjects.
  4. Educate subjects about current and future clinical trials and studies.
  5. Respond to inquiries related to advertising, referrals, and research studies.
  6. Update and maintain participant database from initial contact through study life cycle.
  7. Develop outreach efforts related to subject recruitment.
  8. Interact directly with community partners, potential subjects, study participants, and staff, maintaining positive, productive relationships.
  9. Assist in the request and collection of required documentation (medical records) as needed for subject enrollment and participation.
  10. Coordinate with Principal Investigator and Department Manager to ensure adequate subject recruitment goal has been met for each study.
  11. Maintain current knowledge of industry-specific standards and guidelines including SOPs, and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs).
  12. Assist in the preparation and distribution of study-related marketing information including posters, prescreen sheets, and brochures.
  13. May serve as a lead and primary point of contact within a team of patient recruiters.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent, or higher. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Completion of GCP training.

Experience: Three month’s relevant experience working with goals and quotas; equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in Clinical Research preferred.

Equipment/Technology:  Ability to operate basic computer equipment and software, including CRM and spreadsheets.

Language/Communication: Be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Bilingual is a plus. Active listening to understand what other people are saying and respond appropriately.

Mathematical Skills: General math skills

Mental Capabilities: Can regularly and consistently make sound judgments. Able to use logic and reasoning to identify appropriate solutions.

Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills. Able and comfortable to collaborate with others to accomplish tasks. Able to build and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with others.  

Performance: Must be able to manage and maintain a pipeline of potential subjects to meet study goals and quotas.
