Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Compliance Assistant to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:       

The Compliance Assistant performs routine administrative and compliance tasks, as directed by the Director of Compliance, including but not limited to: Receiving, reviewing, disseminating and storing documentation; Various reporting; Tasks related to Contract Management and Patient Experience; Acts as support for:  Data analytics; Research studies; Contracted Employees and special Compliance projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Acts as back-up administrative support for Compliance Manager
  2. Creating and updating Excel and Word documents
  3. Assisting with Confidential projects and documents, while maintaining confidentiality
  4. Organize and maintain compliance related records and files in designated locations and software programs
  5. Assist in preparing for and responding to routine reviews/audits; prepare materials for compliance reporting; review content for accuracy and consistency
  6. Perform administrative functions for assigned Compliance staff and management
  7. Assisting with formatting of presentations, spreadsheets and word documents
  8. Monitoring the quality and regulatory standards in the delivery of support services
  9. Assist in the administrative management and compliance oversight of a portfolio of contracts
  10. Perform research on various compliance related matters as they arise from internal and external inquiries and document research
  11. Serve as a resource for department managers, staff, physicians and administration
  12. As directed, assisting in the scoping and delivery of reports & reviews as part of the overall Compliance Program to A)  ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, and B)  to provide assurance to Senior Management and monitor and drive improvements with respect to the Organizations overall Operational Goals
  13. As directed, interacting and communicating with internal departments & external parties such as Legal, Provider Relations, Corporate Development, Accounting, State Surveyors etc.
  14. Provide administrative support and perform administrative responsibilities including scanning, copying, faxing, filing, data entry, for various projects
  15. Maintaining department based files, including uploading and organizing documents in a document management system
  16. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance issues and regulations related to the healthcare industry, annual coding updates and frequent regulatory changes
  17. Assist in on boarding of 1099/Non-employees
  18. Monitor for proper and complete documentation for various Compliance Contact Management and Clinical Research Study proposals
  19. Other tasks and projects in the Compliance/Quality Department, as assigned or directed

Qualifications

Education/Certification: High School Graduate, some University experience preferred 

Experience: Administrative/Office procedures; some medical field preferred, but not required; Basic Knowledge of Quality/Compliance; Research techniques

Equipment/Technology: Proficient word processing (EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK) and computer skills; Technical knowledge/understanding of digital environment  

Language/Communication: Excellent Communication Skills 

Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills desired

Mental Capabilities:  Organized and Self Motivated; Uses good judgement and logic; Excellent attention to detail

Interpersonal: Ability to deal confidently and positively with all levels of Staff, both face-to-face and over phone and through email correspondence
