Educational Background:
- Higher technical degree, Bachelor's degree, or Engineering in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product development and/or packaging in the food industry, preferably in the snacks sector or similar products.
- Knowledge of new product development, sensory testing, and functional packaging development.
- Experience in selecting and testing packaging materials such as plastics, cardboard, and other types of packaging.
Requirements:
- Language: Bilingual (100%) – English and Spanish.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of quality and food safety regulations.
- Proficiency in packaging design software and product development (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) *Optional.
- Ability to perform cost analysis, product performance assessments, and feasibility studies for new products and packaging.
- Knowledge of food production process engineering.
- Familiarity with packaging materials (plastics, paper, corrugated).
Soft Skills:
- Creativity and innovation in new product development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary projects and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Analytical thinking: Ability to interpret data and make evidence-based decisions.
Work Conditions:
- Location: Vernon, CA Production Plant.
- Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility to travel between Mexico and the United States.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to suppliers, factories, or research centers when necessary.
