Description

The Manager of Strategy is a pivotal role that drives the organization's strategic direction and growth. This individual will be responsible for crafting comprehensive business plans that align with the company's long-term vision, managing the annual budgeting process, and ensuring that strategic initiatives are executed effectively.

A key aspect of this role is the relentless pursuit of continuous improvement. The Manager will evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop innovative solutions to enhance productivity and performance. They will also be tasked with building and enhancing strategic business capabilities, to support the organization's growth and customer engagement strategies.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic foresight, operational acumen, and a growth mindset to the table. They will work closely with cross-functional teams and top collaborators to drive the organization forward, ensuring that the company not only meets but exceeds its strategic objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that align with Barcel USA’s business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of strategies.

Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the snack industry. Develop insights and recommendations that guide strategic decision-making.

Growth Strategy Development: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential markets, product innovations, and customer segments. Support initiatives for product line expansions and explore new distribution channels.

Business Performance Improvement: Analyze business performance metrics and operational data to identify improvement areas. Work closely with departments such as marketing, sales, and operations to enhance efficiencies and optimize performance.

Financial Modeling and Analysis: Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, forecasting growth, and estimating the financial impact of proposed plans. Track and report key metrics, making data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with marketing, sales, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure strategic initiatives are effectively communicated and implemented. Facilitate inter-departmental alignment on project goals and timelines.

Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present reports, presentations, and proposals to senior management, articulating strategic recommendations and providing clear, actionable insights.

Communication: Ability to effectively communicate the organization's growth strategy to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • MBA from a renowned education institution is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy, consulting or business development within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, is preferred but not required. 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies. 
  • Consulting background is a plus
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with strategic business tools
  • Travel up to 25%
