Position Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sales Planning Analyst to join our team. The Sales Planning Analyst will play a critical role in driving sales performance by providing data-driven insights, developing sales strategies, and supporting the execution of sales plans. This position will work closely with the sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and achieve company sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Forecasting & Planning:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and demand planning teams to gather relevant data and insights for developing accurate sales forecasts.
  • Assist in the creation of annual sales plans and monthly reviews.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance against forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts for new innovation items based on market analysis, historical data, and industry trends.
  • Participate in product launch meetings to provide sales forecasts and confirm sales commitments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, RGM, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and support sales initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Finance
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales planning, sales analysis, or a related role in the CPG industry and experience working with national retailers.
  • Demonstrated ability in analyzing data, formulating recommendations, developing presentations, and developing action plans to help customers achieve desired business results.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and experience with sales planning software.
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with enthusiasm and impact.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills necessary
  • Excellent planning skills:  capable of managing multiple projects
  • Good teamwork skills; Ambitious and eager to learn
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Power BI experience
  • Trade Promotion Management (TPM) Experience
