Job Description
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for manufacturing staff to ensure accurate and timely manufacturing of products. Holds staff accountable in following company policies and procedures, while upholding safety and quality guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources
- Communicates job expectations, plans, monitors, controls, coaches, and disciplines employees.
- Ensures workforce follows policies and procedures, while looking for continuous improvements
- Recruiting and training employees while developing their personal growth opportunities
- Maintains workflow, monitors steps in the process, observes equipment and helps implement cost reductions. Facilitates corrective actions and change management activities
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishes priorities and helps resolve problems
- Maintains quality by establishing, improving, and enforcing company standards
- Ensures operation of equipment by coordinating repairs and evaluating new equipment and processes.
- Visually provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance data
- Able to resolve issues and conflicts by analyzing, investigating, and identifying solutions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Solid communication skills with fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Strong math skills including units of ratio, percentages, and basic math
- Fluent computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to solve problems quickly and/or elevate to upper management as needed
- Self-starter and ability to hold employees accountable in following processes
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Solid manufacturing, inventory, and distribution experience, preferred.
- Experience working with computer-based inventory management software (ERP), preferred.

Education
High school diploma, GED or equivalent background and experience
