Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

  • Knowledge of pickleball rules and regulations
  • Ability to manage groups of players of varying abilities and run programs accordingly.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.

Job Tasks/Duties

  • Promote, coordinate and manage league and Open Play programs.
  • Assist with special events and tournaments.
  • Maintain close communication with Front Desk Ranch Hand about program activities.
  • Occasionally assist Front Desk Ranch Hand if needed.
  • Know of daily activities, programs and events taking place in the facility.
  • Complete incident reports for accidents and injuries.
  • Report unusual occurrences or requests to the manager.
  • Familiar with all safety and emergency procedures and accident prevention policies.
  • May conduct private and group lessons and clinics.
  • Assist with special and private events as schedule allows.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Help keep the facility clean and in proper order.

Licenses and Special Requirements

  • Will be required to get First Aid/CPR/AED, SafeSport and concussion protocol training
  • PPR certification is desirable

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
  • Frequent repetitive motions.
  • Continuous standing and walking.

Work Schedule:

  • Sufficient stamina to tolerate hot and humid outdoor weather for several consecutive hours.
  • Continuous standing, walking, running, bending, stooping and repetitive actions.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of objects.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • Two to three years of pickleball playing experience.
  • Experience running pickleball leagues and programs.
  • Knowledge of equipment and court maintenance.
