Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. Program Description: Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center (LSNC), a community center located in the Amsterdam Houses and Amsterdam Addition on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, has been offering programs for children and their families for over 65 years. Currently, LSNC operates an After School Program and Summer Camp for children ages 5 through 12 offering academic support, cultural enrichment, and physical fitness programs.
Purpose of Position: Group Leaders are assigned to work with a group of children, broken down by age, on a number of various tasks including homework help, STEM, literacy, Art and social-emotional competencies. Group Leaders report to the After School Program Director. Together, our staff works to provide a positive and creative learning environment for the social and intellectual development of all participants.
Position Start Date: September 2, 2024 Position End Date: June 20, 2025
Potential to be hired for Summer Camp 2025, pending interest & performance evaluation.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm; Additional hours for meetings and trainings. Some Full Days & Half Days
Hourly Rate: $16.00
