- Knowledge of methods and techniques used in the production of media related projects. Able to produce multimedia productions using audio, video and photographic resources and digital editing and production equipment. Experience in photography a plus.
- Experience supporting classroom and video conferencing technologies and the ability to troubleshoot, learn, and support various classroom technologies, i.e. microphones, projectors, document camera, etc.
- Must have a strong customer service orientation and be willing to rapidly respond to requests for service and assistance.
- Experience working in an academic environment a plus.
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to keep commitments and meet deadlines.
- Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business writing, professional journals and technical manuals, and apply the knowledge gained to solve problems.
- Must be quality conscious and demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Undergraduate degree in Mass Communication, Multimedia Production.
Production Skills: Proficient with AV equipment for capturing audio, video and photos.
Competent with audio, video, and photo editing software.
Technology Skills: Competent with the Microsoft Office suite of productivity software. Ability to quickly gain a working proficiency with new hardware and software.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: None required.
Other Qualifications: Position requires occasional evening and weekend work. 1-2 years’ of live production experience a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear when working with students, faculty, and staff. The employee is frequently required to sit while working on the computer or doing paperwork. Employee must regularly use hands to work on computer, handle files, and documents, and use office equipment, and other photography, A/V, and video equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to reach for files and to set up photo lights, A/V equipment, and to take photos and videos. The employee must frequently lift and/or move files, A/V and photography equipment weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move lights and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. This job requires close vision, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, so the employee can produce videos or photos, and properly set-up lights and equipment.

The work environment in this position is characteristic of a normal office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
