HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Community Programs Manager is responsible for implementing Community Schools strategies, working closely with the school administrators, key faculty, families, and community partners to facilitate the development of an integrated community school’s strategy. The Community Programs Manager coordinates and oversees programs and activities on the school campus that support students and their families’ emotional, social and health needs. This position report to the Principal or designee.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

- Design, develop and coordinate projects as identified by principal including identifying fund development and strategic partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate school and community partners’ support services personnel in alignment with school academic and community goals.
- Support and facilitate annual conversations with site leadership, teachers and staff in identifying shared instructional and school climate vision and goals, including core instruction, extended learning, youth leadership, family engagement and support, and health and mental health services;
- In partnership with site-based staff, support the alignment to school vision and priorities through: an effective assessment and referral process to review, assign and follow up on referrals, and troubleshoot student and systems issues; consistent communication and opportunities for collaboration with partners and families around school goals e.g. regular service providers meeting; clear systems and protocols to manage quality partnerships and resolve issues: e.g. development of MOUs, joint work plans/calendars, clear metrics of progress, and conflict resolution processes.
- Assess school community needs and assets, and oversee integration of services and programming for students during regular school year and summer school.
- Support evaluation efforts and refinement of student support systems and build capacity of staff to follow systems that benefit students and families the most.
- Assist with program evaluation as per funding requirements (including data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Perform administrative duties, responsibilities and activities that may be assigned or changed from time to time
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage, coordinate, supervise, coach and direct the hiring, training, timely performance development of team members, oversee their daily activities and oversee the daily workflow of the department.
