Job Title: HR Generalist

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring HR and safety procedures run smoothly at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee orientation and onboarding 
  • Preparing and reviewing compensation and benefits packages 
  • Maintain employee files  
  • Managing Unemployment issues 
  • Manage, create, and update all spreadsheets 
  • Process payroll, separations, and employee loan agreements 
  • Manage annual employee review process 
  • Conduct exit interviews 
  • Manage IFTA tracking 
  • Recruiting of new potential employees 
  • Create monthly newsletter  
  • Benefit administration and invoicing 
  • Manage HRIS 
  • Develop reports and assist with audits 
  • Manage Fleet, COI’s, and company gas cards 
  • Government and private agency correspondence  
  • Workman’s comp 
  • Child Support 
  • Garnishments 
  • Unemployment 
  • Employment verifications 
  • Multiple Work Site Report 
  • Backup for workman’s compensation, auto, and general liability claims 
  • Protecting company values by keeping financial information and plans confidential 
  • Responsible for following and enforcing all safety rules and policies as outlined by and communicated by Bliffert Lumber management 
  • Act as our store’s representative and provides exceptional customer service 
  • Reports injuries immediately to Manager 
  • Additional job responsibilities to be determined by Manager 

 

Qualifications:

  • Reports to the HR Director 
  • Occasional local travel 
  • Occasional out of state travel 
  • Minimal lifting up to 25 lbs.
