Job Title: CDL Driver
Job Summary:
Bliffert Lumber is seeking a results-driven CDL Driver to Safely deliver building materials to work sites while adhering to DMV regulations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Practice and provide excellent service for all customers.
- Protects company values by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
- Report Injuries to manager immediately.
- Drive safely and responsibly, immediately report any accidents or traffic violations.
- Additional job responsibilities to be determined by Manager.
- Sorting, stocking, and moving lumber and building materials in all types of weather and terrain.
- Loading supplies for customers.
- Operate power tools, saws, and chainsaws.
- Read special orders from salespeople.
- Read instructions from supervisors or salespeople in handling customer requests and safety procedures in the workplace.
Qualifications:
- Read carefully the products labels, warnings, and directions posted in the products and warehouse.Â
- Complete inventory sheets.Â
- Read invoices and orders.Â
- Read and follow work schedules.Â
- Enter number entries in loading sheets.Â
- Look in the charts for the weights of forklifts that can carry and lift.
- Must have Fed Med Card.
- Must have a valid CDL
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned. Operate hydraulic lift gates safely.Â
- Secure cargo for transport, using wedges and straps. Ensure safety when inspecting.Â
- Drive trucks to weigh stations along routes, to comply with state regulations.Â
- Use cellphones to exchange information with supervisors or other drivers. Ensure hands free communication while operating vehicle.Â
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance including adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid, or performing minor repairs.Â
- Load and unload trucks with a Moffitt, help others with loading and unloading, operating any powered equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary.Â
- Perform Lumber returns from Jobsites back to location.Â
- May be required to manually carry loads inside residences.Â
- Responsible for following all safety rules and policies as outlined by the DOT and communicated by Bliffert Lumber Management.Â
- Responsible for following all general housekeeping practices as communicated by manager.

Salary Range:Â The salary range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
