Description

The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager will oversee the daily management of the Accounts Payable team. The AP Manager will be responsible for processes associated with invoices, pay applications, and employee expense reimbursements. The Accounts Payable Manager will work closely with Directors, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, external vendors, and other internal departments.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team and identify and implement process improvements as needed.

Responsible for team’s performance management, goal setting, and employee development.

Ensure that invoices and expense reports are processed and paid in a timely manner.

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners

Ensure company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to accounts payable.

Support external audit and tax requests, as appropriate

Manage escheatment process

Qualifications

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education, experience and training

 

Knowledge & Experience

Minimum 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience

Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel

Prior experience with Viewpoint, GCPay, and/or Concur a plus

Construction accounting experience a plus

 

Skills & Abilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization and externally

Able to quickly learn new technologies and software; experience in system implementation is a plus

Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

Able to execute on multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines

Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented

Able to work with Integrity, Trust, and Respect, and set an example for others
