Seattle Preparatory School is a Catholic, Jesuit college preparatory school with an enrollment of about 790 students in grades 9-12. Located in the North Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Seattle Prep seeks qualified professionals to partner in our mission of forming men and women for others.

 

Assistant Coaches work with Varsity, JV, and JVC programs, assisting and leading all functions of the game as directed by the Program Head. JV and JVC positions may also be utilized to teach and instruct the varsity level of the program, serve in leadership capacities at camps, off-season workouts and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Demonstrate a passion for coaching and deep knowledge of the sport.

Be able to clearly communicate to all constituents.

Take direction from the Program Head and Athletic Director as needed.

Seeking continuing education opportunities in your sport (clinics, attending college practices, working camps, etc).

Maintain compliance with all Seattle Preparatory School, Metro League and Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) rules and regulations.

 

 

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience and expertise in the sport
  • Prior coaching experience at the high school or club level
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid driver’s Washington Driver’s License
  • Seeking continuing education opportunities in your sport
  • Available for all practice sessions, workouts, games and related meetings
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, and Safe Environment training prior to start of season

Other Details:

  • Terms of Employment: Part Time, about 40 hours of work each month, Level 3
  • Reporting: Reports to the Athletic Director and the Program Head
  • Job Classification: This position is classified as Exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay
  • Salary Range:$3,540 - $7,010, paid over the season. Salary is based on skills and experience
  • Benefits: Paid Sick Days
