Residential Team Leader
As a Residential Team Leader, you will supervise staff who provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing body requirements. You will report to the Residential Program Manager and work onsite.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Program Manager in creating a versatile team to work cohesively and therapeutically with the youth and their families on the unit
• Design and manage program activity which will lead to the completion of goals described within treatment plans
• Work with clinical staff to coordinate the implementation of treatment plans in the milieu
• Represent us in routine public activities such as making client-related simple presentations or providing information.
• Oversee and evaluate the work of residential staff assigned to the residential program.
• Provide supportive success-focused guidance to direct reports.
• Maintain records
• Participate in interview and selection of new team members
• Participate in training residential staff
• Conduct residential staff meetings
• Understand and apply the general framework and expected outcomes of different treatment models used with the youth
• Follow, review and implement all agency policy and procedures to ensure all regulations are followed by employees
• Make the unit a friendly place, where family members feel welcome and activities are planned.
• Maintain the physical order of the building and therapeutic environment of the units
• Develop schedules within the assigned residential unit
• Participate in the Team Leader on-call rotation
• Conduct the financial activity of the residential unit following established guidelines
• Organize and participate in program and agency wide special events and services
• Oversee and arrange transportation of clients for medical, mental health, family time, and other essential needs
• Support crisis intervention and planning for youth
Requirements and Education:
• Associate’s degree required plus 3 years of experience, bachelor’s degree preferred OR HS plus at least 5 years of experience required
• Related experience with vulnerable populations and older adolescent population is required
• Must have management experience
• Required to maintain a TCI certification
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet agency insurability standards for using agency vehicles and transporting youth
• Must pass physical
