The Maintenance Technician has the following responsibilities:

• Repairing and maintaining facility equipment.
• Installing and/or assembling new equipment.
• Performing facility rounds (inside and outside) on a regular basis
• Monitoring maintenance logs.
• Performing environmental of care checks
• Maintaining facility lighting
• Driving company van when needed.
• Ensuring all chemicals are stored/disposed of and/or used safely
• Performing preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Complying with all established policies and procedures.
• Promoting and demonstrate positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents, family members and visitors.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Knowledge of operation of various machines and equipment and general maintenance procedures.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing.
• Computer knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information.
• Ability to effectively respond to questions.
• While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, turn, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, talk, hear, taste and smell.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to perform tasks in inclement weather when needed.
• Risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
