The Assistant Project Manager, will oversee day-to-day execution of facility projects across multiple healthcare business units, including nursing homes, senior living communities, and home and community-based services. Track and communicate project progress, collaborate with organizational leaders and vendors, and serve as the in-house expert on projects and processes.
Create processes in support of our organization’s goals and offer innovative solutions and ideas. This position reports to the Vice President of Facilities.
Essential Job Duties:
- Work in collaboration with VP Facilities to establish priorities and contribute to the successful execution of physical plant and facility-related projects.
- Coordinate project work to have minimal impact on location’s daily operations.
- Participate in operations team meetings as needed to ensure appropriate project communications are delivered.
- Supervise vendor and contractor work to ensure safety and comfort of location’s residents and team members.
- Clearly communicate during interactions with the VHS team, vendors and contractors.
- Manage project timelines and expenses. Track completion progress and monitor projects to ensure success.
- Track internal and external job quality through on-site inspections and daily site visits.
- Make recommendations to improve equipment and physical plant throughout the organization, including offering solutions for improved project outcomes.
- Identify and monitor resources needed for successful completion of projects.
- Compile and compare reports, spreadsheets and other project documents.
- Record project information and data for future reference, and document appropriate life-safety information for each location.
- Review payment applications and invoices for accuracy and details to present to VP Facilities for approval.
- Schedule meetings, document processes, and provide appropriate communication as needed.
- Perform additional tasks to support the growth and improvement of the organization.
- Report regularly to VP Facilities on project progress, adjustments and recommendations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements.
