POSTION TITLE: PRESS OPERATOR – 2nd SHIFT
DEPARTMENT: Roll Out/Roll Forming
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Production
HOURS/SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm to 2:00am
*overtime available during high product demand times
HOURLY/SALARY STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt
POSITION OVERIVEW:
The Press Operator is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of a press machine through the administration of equipment, preventative maintenance and quality control while minimizing down time and ensuring safety.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate a variety of presses (punch, forming and progressive dies)
- Operation of overhead hoist
- Maintain a well-organized and safe work environment in accordance with 6S.
- Organize production requirements
- Maintain accurate counts
- Understand and adhere to product acceptability and quality requirements
- Accurate and consistent record keeping

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience metal working and/or fabrication
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift, carry, push and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
