POSITION OVERVIEW:

Hussey Seating Company is seeking a seasoned sales/business development professional to lead the growth of its international sales business. This individual will develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to facilitate profitable growth through Hussey’s international distributor network and direct sales opportunities.  The position requires working closely with Hussey Sales and Engineering teams in Asia, US, and UK offices to create seating solutions for clients while achieving all desired goals and objectives in a cost effective and profit-driven environment. 

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure International Sales business unit meets annual volume and profit objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive profitable business growth in select international markets.
  • Develop and support Hussey's international distributors in select markets to increase sales and profit margins.
  • Train and educate distributors on all aspects of Hussey Group product lines, processes, and sales tools. Customize training to fit individual client and distributor needs.
  • Identify and pursue direct sale opportunities in the International School and professional sports/entertainment markets globally.
  • Work directly with Owners, architects, contractors and specifiers to generate and grow a robust pipeline of direct major project sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal staff in the US and Vietnam offices as required for technical, pricing and administrative support.
  • Assist in developing technical solutions (with dealers and independently) for the most appropriate seating products to be offered for each venue.
  • Gather information on competitors and their product strengths and weaknesses to enhance Hussey’s competitive position.
  • Travel to various locations to meet with existing and potential clients and distributors. 
  • Coordinate with pre- and post-sale support teams and all associated activities to meet client needs.

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally at least 50% of the time.
  • Multiple languages are a strong plus.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven history of successfully selling manufactured products in international markets.  Experience with architecturally specified products a plus.
  • Bachelors’ Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar industry or combination of education and experience.
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team and external customers as part of a solution-based sales process.
