Truck Driver Class A - HOME EVERY NIGHT MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

The Road Ends at Home - Every Night!  Must have 3 years of Class A experience to apply!

This position offers a great work-life balance with the opportunity to be home every night.   This route includes Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton and Eastern Indiana.

Position Summary

Responsible for direct store and warehouse deliveries of products. Maintain company vehicle in good clean working order while following all DOT rules and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

DRIVING / DELIVERY DUTIES:

• Responsible for delivery, pick up and relocation of product(s) and material as directed:
• Operate a Class “A” vehicle over 7
• On a daily basis: Obtain shipping bills of lading and necessary signatures and return(s) completed paperwork to shipping office; maintain any related records required with transactions
• Collect payments from customers as needed; reconcile all payment transactions with office staff
• Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries and pick-ups

SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS:

• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner; work in a safe manner 100 % of the time, following all safety rules and regulations
• Perform daily maintenance and safety check of truck(s)
• Maintain required reports to include but not limited to OSHA and DOT reports

EQUIPMENT CERTIFICATION:

• Class “A” CDL License
• Forklift
• Reach Truck
• Electric and manual hand jacks
• DOT Medical Card (supplied by employer)

EDUCATION:

• High school graduate or GED preferred
• 3 months or more related experience of making deliveries
• 3 years driving experience preferred

PHYSICAL ABILITIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM JOB:

• Must be in good physical shape with high stamina and dexterity
• Able to lift 50 lbs. plus (+)
• Ability to climb various types of ladders
• Manual dexterity with ability to reach with hands and arms
