Warehouse Driver Floater

DRIVING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for transferring both finished goods and raw materials between the manufacturing plant and company operated facilities.
• Deliver finished good product to other company operated facilities.
• Operate Class “A” vehicle over four tons.
• Operate a Class “B” vehicle over 26,001 GVW as needed.
• Deliver products to customers as needed.

WAREHOUSE DUTIES:

• Unload and load trucks transfers daily.
• Assist the Receiving and Shipping personnel in the loading and unloading of trucks.
• Assist in picking raw materials and finished goods.
• Put away products in proper bin locations.
• Rotate inventory as to practice FEFO or FIFO as required. 
• Assist with inventory cycle counting.
• Assist with all other warehouse duties as needed.

MAINTENANCE DUTIES:

• Perform daily maintenance and safety check of truck(s).
  • Maintain required reports to include but not limited to OSHA and DOT logs.
• Clean trucks as scheduled or required.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety check of warehouse equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining and protect all entrusted property in excellent condition. 

SAFETY:

• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner; work in a safe manner 100 % of the time, following all safety rules and regulations.               

EQUIPMENT CERTIFICATION:

• Valid Class “A” CDL License
• Forklift 
• Reach Truck
• Electric and manual hand jacks
• Handheld Scanners
• DOT Medical Card (supplied by employer)

EDUCATION:

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• 3 months or more related experience of making deliveries.
• 2 years driving experience preferred.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM JOB:

• Must be in good physical shape with high stamina and dexterity.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. plus (+)
• Ability to climb various types of ladders.
• Good hand dexterity with both hands
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Able to bend and stoop easily; stoop, crouch, kneel or crawl.
• Able to turn neck easily from left to right and look over shoulder.
• Excellent eyesight with particularly good peripheral vision; good depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Able to work any shift and long hours when necessary; work overtime and Saturday as needed.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions of both hot and cold temperatures.
