Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at our headquarters in Northeast Minneapolis. This analyst will support strategic financial planning and analysis activities and will play a critical role in providing financial insights, decision support and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term strategic plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights that inform key business decisions, highlight opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and risk mitigation
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for management, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), annual operating plan (AOP) and the strategic annual plan (STRAP)
  • Lead and/or support ad hoc projects and analysis as required
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis processes

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Accounting experience and knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience in financial modeling, planning and forecasting, and data analysis
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial analysis into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with all levels and functions of the organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Driven, self-motivated and inquisitive nature
  • Technology skills including AX/D365, HFM, OneStream, PowerBI
